Feb. 9 - At noon, Marie Velma, infant daughter of Randolph and Vida Selig, becomes ill with convulsions.

Feb 10 - At 7 a.m. after another convulsion, Marie dies in the arms of neighbour Elsie Colp as her mother, Vida, drive frantically through Baker Settlement in an attempt to reach Dr. Bennett's office. She is five months and 12 days old - a victim of pneumonia.

Feb. 12 - Little Marie Velma is buried in the Selig family plot in Baker Settlement Cemetery.
