June 24 – Archibald Stanley Colp and Violet Hyacinth Haines are married by licence at Pleasant River, Lunenburg County. Arch, a farmer, is 32 years old. Violet, listed as spinster, is 21. Congregationalist minister George Ball performs the ceremony. Hildred A. Haines and Maynard F. Colp serve as witnesses. [1]

Oct. 5 – Charles Andrew Colp, 33, marries Gladys Viola Hiem, 21, at the Congregational parsonage in Pleasant River, Charles is the son of Joseph Colp and Lavinia Bolivar. She is the daughter of Dempson and Addie Hiem, Chelsea. Witnesses are Joseph Colp and James Murley. [2]
